Hebrew and Judaic Studies
At JPPS-Bialik, our Jewish values are core to who we are as a learning community and are instilled throughout our school.
Hebrew and Yiddish Studies
In Grades 1-6, The Tal Am Hebrew and Heritage curriculum fosters the students’ affinity for the language and strengthens connections to the State of Israel and to their Jewish roots. JPPS is devoted to keeping alive the unique soul of yiddishkeit. Study of the language, literature and songs reinforces the continuity of our cherished heritage.

CHILD VICTIM MEMORIAL ALBUM (Grade 6)
Each student is given the name of a child victim (a child who perished in the Holocaust) with whom they have been matched according to their birth date (date and month) or Hebrew name. Using the website www.vashem.org, the student researches that child victim and prepares a one-page tribute to that individual; these pages are collated by Teacher Nancy Sculnik to form a Memorial Album which is kept in the JPPS Library.
